The drinksbusiness meldt:

Proving the pulling power of a celebrity owner, American rapper Post Malone sold 50,000 bottles of his southern French rosé during a two-day pre-sale on Vivino.

American rapper Post Malone’s southern French rosé, Maison No. 9, is selling like hotcakes.

As reported by TMZ, Malone’s rosé proved so popular that it crashed the Vivino app on the morning of the sale due to unprecedented demand.

Called Maison No. 9 after the rapper’s favourite tarot card – the nine of swords – the pink officially went on sale yesterday and is available to buy in most US states priced at US$21.99 a bottle.

The rosé was created in partnership with the rapper’s entrepreneur friend, James Morrissey of Global Brand Equities, and music manager Dre London.

The trio created the wine by working closely with vintner Alexis Cornu of Provence winery group MDCV, with Malone making frequent trips to France while on tour last year.
